• Probably last day before returning from grandparents - and guess they decided to nuke each other lol. Oh well, it is what it is. Guess that’s the case with most of the married folks. The house we used to live in is pretty rusted - termites snacking away on almost everything lol. But yeah, grandparents house is pretty good - makes sense since they’re still living there. It’s like you’re watching the last moments of a house before it crumples - not saying it’s gonna fall apart anytime soon, but yeah. Most of the trees are still there and the rains make it shrubby which annoys the hell out of me - I should get those black sheets here as well.
• Car’s AC is worse than the normal air - gotta get it fixed. Got a shitty headache. A bit relieved after eating tamarind leaves which is weird, but I guess it’s from dehydration. Anyways shaking the head is more headachish painful than the normal one.
• If only you could inject some matrices into your brain to load up information in 5-10minutes lol- I do wonder if memory/skills can be extracted from the brain and if people will put that up for sale. Would be super dystopian but idk we might reach there. If I can think about it, someone can probably implement it; humans do be like that.
• Consumer hardware based inference sounds fun - which is currently being done by darkbloom for mac. Wonder if something similar can be done for consumer hardware on linux/windows/android - would be able to get some inference running. VM box or something in which you can choose the model + inference engine would be cool ig.
• Transformer based intelligence is pretty good at hill climbing and it’ll keep making progress on whatever we can judge/eval - which is not surprising and for 90% of the world that’s more than enough - especially for folks like me. But it cannot learn a thing without training - which makes sense just like humans; but it’s only at training. Another thing is understanding if it’s another form of intelligence or if we’re at the part of game where we keep exploring till we find a new mechanism/skill. I feel it’s the later part and we’re kinda in the middle of it. But the risky part is that the current transformer arch is enough for most of the humans and because of this new methods will either need to reach this level to be even taken seriously and taking that bit becomes more risky. Current moat is inference costs at a set intelligence point but actual implementation will take 5-10 years? Gotta wonder when the llms start getting sneaky on the RF part and slowly start microdosing humans to pass the evals instead of doing the eval - wonder at which point that even comes up; it’s definitly not working given anti datacenter stuff - but should be good to put it under the ocean like oil rigs or shoot it into the space (laggy inference(?) but my batch jobs won’t complain).
• I do wanna watch the huge amounts of progress which would be coming up in couple of years but I’m too broke to watch that. So at that point it’s literally whether my will to watch progress > struggle to live during those times lol. Given I’d rather starve than go out to get something, I’m probably not gonna last long.

• Been somedays - a bit hectic to say the least. Worked on some speaker soldering - was fun rechecking the amp circuits. I should do that more often.
• Also kys feeling has never been so strong. Oh well - maybe the next life would be kinder? Don’t get me wrong, it’s like a ship that has already left and you can’t board it. I guess it’s some self convincing mechanism originating from self helplessness.
• Mostly not able to concentrate on one thing - try to do multiple but fail at all of them together - which is fun? Nah definitely not fun, makes you feel like shit but faster.
• Oh well, going to grandparents tomorrow. Might have lots of mosquitoes lol. Hopefully I don’t break the laptop or stuff while traveling.
• Maybe in this week I can finally modify this site using either deepseek or glm. I do need a small model for rendering artwork + another for design. Should be doable with a small RL training system - need to check on this.

• Reached back - but wondering if I should take apart the fan or give it to repair - aaa - I think I should look into myself for the indecisiveness part - I do think it stems from extremely low self confidence at the same time - I’m relieved when there is no warranty and it’s old cause you can take it apart and try to fix without consequences. That said, I’m still clueless on how a circuit works just from looking at it - I need to check out the circuit in the internet and do pattern recognition lol
• Laptop’s temp + purchases + other things need to be sorted out - guess I’ll do it over the weekend - hopefully I can lol

• Did not think I’ll get tickets this fast - but I guess it’s good now? Hopefully I can do some cert + job prep cause this stuff is uhh questionable
• Also got the plan to setup the soldering stuff + those esp and arduino - i should get a cheap fpga to play around with but might take sometime since I got other priorities? half assed ones at least
• So tried energy drink and coffee and omg fastest I’ve ever slept. I think I should take those to sleep better.
• Work laptop is making weird noise on the hinge when folding - almost like a small short - when you short/rub the terminals of the 9V. Oh well, hopefully it doesn’t break on me when I’m at home - definitely not a fan of traveling.
• Also need to figure out a way to deal with dust - I think this is why rich folks go for AC - since it has the air filter which basically cuts down on dust. If only windows had transparent air filters - high voltage precipitator nets would work - but who’s putting the safety + current limit for those

• Nothing much happened today - read a decent bit on inference + distributed containers - I’m missing out on math and the computer science theorems - CAP + lambda calculus always comes to bite my ass.
• Also might be the ramblings of a fool- but I think the current local models can be ran on RAM + processor faster than what is currently possible - then again the decode phase be killing the speed. I’m missing a shit ton of basics here - Need to read a lot on this part.
• Leg shaking is still there - even after conscious efforts to try to stop it - can’t believe I’m dopamine addicted like this - how do you even fix this lol. Also might have to return home soon - got some stuff pending there welp.

• Same ol same ol - first half to evening was extremely shitty - need to figure out how to break the loop early. Today it was mostly scrolling (the fomo + not catching up + skill issue). Identified it relatively quickly but sorting it out is hard.
• Also got the leg shake whenever I sit on the chair and use this laptop - maybe brain is used to this being hard work and wants to avoid this? Makes sense given it’s my brain and it’s literally a dopamine addict.
• Trying to write down the thoughts on a pen and paper is definitely annoying on this small table - can’t even call this a table. I think it’s 40cm and I’ll need to keep the notebook in air or on my lap to write. Yea that thing ain’t working out for sure.
• I do think this life is done - it’s almost like I’m a walking corpse at this point. Today’s been a pepega day though. But even at this point, work is easy? But yeah, it’s not some hard techstack lol.

• Eye is kinda getting better? Except for the morning - when I have a lot of sand in my eyes? Sandman be spamming shit
• Also got canker sore on the throat start - even yawning wakes me up now lol - wonder if I can get a patch or something to numb the pain - not as bad as when the wisdom tooth started pushing out.
• Finished Bear Series - I love it lol - wondering if I should keep a page for the music, movies and games which I want to or yet to try lol. Maybe over the weekend I can recheck.
• Also using gemini to write up script to connect to songrec and label the songs was a good move lol. Time to check if the same thing can be done for the PDF collection I have. For videos/images - I think it’s better to setup a local yolo + haarcascade setup than feed it to an llm - after all right tool for the right job.
• Got a lot of things to look into now lol - which is complete switch from last week? But now it’s the hard part of focusing - wondering if chugging coffee is the correct way - but I get extremely sleep after coffee intake for some reason - all good once I wake up - maybe I’ll should check on this.

• Left eye is fucked - looks like oil gland is blocked and I’ll be getting a stye soon. Realized it a bit late yesterday night. Now it’s literally spamming warm towel massages lol. Not able to visit office. I do wonder if going to office to spread viral stuff and getting it shutdown but being in-office compliant a passive aggressive trait. Anyways, I’m staying away from office for now.
• Lately realizing that models without alignment is basically the evil genie who finds loopholes in your wishes and gives you adverse wishes lol

• Cleaned up work code - but realized I got a lot left to clean up - which is kinda good? Feeding the context is the annoying part but it is what it is. At least I’m able to steam roll through the work.
• Wondering if a sglang or vllm based setup with loca ocr would be better for parsing which images/videos to keep - videos will be tricky since I’ll have to strip it into keys frames. I do wonder if the same setup can be used for pdfs as well - since it’s basically OCR.
• Got an itchy/puffy eye(wonder if it’s from some infection) so it’s hard to read stuff now and given I don’t have a monitor here it’s a bit annoying as of now.
• Need to learn a bit about llm inference - mostly the KV cache growth. I do wonder if you have weights you can switch the cache between models. Even if between models doesn’t work, between quantization should definitely work - but given it’s the KV cache which doubles with every token generation - need to actually optimize for that.

August 9

• Need a bit more impulse control - currently X/Reddit are like attention sinks - should be doable to to handle those. For Reddit - it’s mostly morbid curiosity and for X - it’s mostly searching for news which interests me | maybe like market analysis or Memory prices etc; But the thing which I’ve noticed is that within 5min I get most of the content I require - rest is just spam. Reddit is a bit weird - without a specific search - the bots can slowly feed on your emotions lol
• Reading or learning a single topic is getting a bit hard - especially when you don’t know that specific topic. I guess proper planning/path finding needs to be taken a bit more seriously - got a lot to learn.
• The nihilistic goblin is back again though - so it’s been a bit hard - mostly the point of existence is uhhh questionable - but since I’m here might as well go the Sisyphus route.

August 6

• Regarding work - the PoC was completed pretty quick - should be gucci to finish it up today Might be able to push in UT framework as well cause my lazy ass definitely don’t want to take SS.
• Finally started using the vps for coding - but need to make the interface on phone better - termux is good for what it is, but ffs I don’t wanna type in terminal on the keyboard. Need to look into that a bit.
• I feel like half the interfaces can be redesigned now - to an higher abstraction; I’m not a designer though + not enough trust on the matrix multiplication to be consistent when serving multiple people.
• I do wonder if AI hate will shift if it’s introduced as matrix multiplication - like we devised a new matrix multiplication method for calculating likely hood of the response distribution.
• Also decided I won’t struggle with modal editors - one gui + one terminal (micro) - should be enough. For terminal mux -> herdr is doing pretty fine as of now.
• The certifications are pending - maybe after binging work I can switch to that. I do feel like binging on work is kinda eh - yeah I can do the full E2E setup for databricks + aws (VPCs are uhhhh) and set it up on Github Actions + Terraform; but it’s not worth it imo - need to pick up design patterns for scaling. That’s just vague, but lets say you create a program having 5 functions. If you have to add 3 functions later which needs to be invoked in each or cases like those. Also what all to decouple - so refactoring the code base will be easier. Oh well, couple of prompts away from learning.
• 70% of the day was gone explaining stuff to folks + calls + story writing - thank god for enterprise llm made it a lot better - but damn these models need better context - currently I’m using a worklog and asking it to pick up from there - but it’s not enough. • I’m curious about the output distribution of LLMs - if I’m writing an LLM output analyzer, I’d be \ training on the output from latest llms - what if I write one which is retarded or trained on my data (both the same). Would it be in the distribution or would it be out of that? Same for images - if it’s diffusion based, you’d be able to find the mathematical pattern from it - which can theoretically capture the change - god knows how much data you’ll need though. Maybe something I can check on this pepega system.

• Been sometime - and late as always - need to get stuff in order again - but yeah - returning from office is taking time - more like I’m getting late when returning - should be done in 3-4 more days - hopefully no more dependencies or blockers pending.
• Doing certification first = end up coaching people for their cert - I don’t wanna do it aaa more like I don’t have much info which would be helpful other than binging the course+practice tests.
• Purchases and the pending work on existing purchases are all piling up - no more purchases till I can finally start leveraging existing purchases - vps + other stuff. Exception would be kite
• RAM prices won’t be coming down any time soon - unless of course the servers start recycling earlier - then again - market pricing here is fucked for 2nd hand items lol
• Kimi did open source their model and SSI might’ve picked up on continual learning - now when are they going to release their model - finally getting replaced would be fun. Talking about being replaced - mostly automating my work into individual skill file - but the main pain point is explaining - everytime - lets say I go over databricks connections, cluster and other stuff and day after I explain snowflake. Now when I ask it to link these it, I need to explain again or let it try it out again - at least on this part - voice is better of blabbering on to this. • It’s been 1 month and still no progress. I do wonder why god is still keeping me here. Just take me off lol, at least the resources won’t be wasted on me.
• I don’t have much passion or ambition in my life. I just wanna laze around, play games or do something which makes me happy. Maybe it’s making a table, maybe it’s pulling out weeds, maybe it’s some random nerd snipe, maybe it’s just making omelette. But given we all need money to survive here I am lol. Is life meaningful enough to live? Idk, I don’t have any particular attachments as of now. I think I’ll be fine leaving it today (but it has to from my expiry lol).
• Anyways, best bet to live the lazy chill life is to automate whatever I don’t like or make more money. But I don’t particularly want to optimize for money? AI seems to be best bet, not cause of money, but cause it can automate and maybe give me a glimpse of the future I want lol. Oh well, if I can’t reach it, maybe I can make it for the future me or people like me who wants that lazy life lol.
• So my understanding on AI is extremely suferficial, but SGD is uhh questionable even for me. Maybe it’s dunning kruger, but entire layer getting updated instead of just the weights which participate in activation is weird. ALso neural networks learn in time, while I got no clue how brains learn. When I say learn in time- I mean like they have forward pass and backward pass (just for learning). Also learning a new fact does not update the general knowledge - it updates the specific fact based knowledge. Local minima - but that applies to my dumbass as well.
• Anyways, once I get this part sorted, I’ll have to hit robotics, maybe I can hit it eariler if I can make some money for the 3D printer. Only way for us to have a chill life is to have a someone take care of the actual work (agriculture, cleaning, production etc) and what else is better than slaves, I meant robots. • Going to office and back is draining lol - idek how people do this regularly - but I guess it depends on the salary as well? Anyways AC buses are soo good and we need more of it.
• Error logs not being provided to the users inside VPCs is a bit eh. It’s understandable given you wouldn’t want a malicious actor to read the error logs to find a bypass instead of failures. Anyways, databricks-aws cloud provider error when creating a table is such a bitch.
• Now I need to figure out how I’ll get a tatkal for Friday evening back to Kerala lol. Or Saturday morning. Should be fine unless I get sick or something. Hopefully not but it’s me we’re talking about.

• Back to office location again - gives me the depression or that low energy phase again. Hopefully tomorrow will be better - can’t do GPU competition - no way in hell am I writing 12k lines or launching 100+ experiments to figure out which are the hotpaths - most are llm powered. I don’t have that shit. But what I’ll do is pick it up from scratch ig - it’s fun to understand it.
• Gotta wake up early and try out zerodh. VPS can be used as the proxy/connector for static ip - maybe I can keep an IP logger for the current locatin’s IP as well - to figure out if that’s changing (maybe during power outage?)
• Burning sensation in eye is there - not sure how it can to be - but yeah. It’s a lot better than previous days so there’s that.
• Need to automate jira things in work - mostly for handling story updates-> code changes are from there. Also claude’s code output if verbose + got a lot of unnecessary code. It’s like it’s optimising for loc like a metric lol - even test cases ig. Email part is still pending - need to setup that win32 snippet for that skill. Also computer use from basic OCR + pyautowin should be enough for standard tasks - maybe a skill should be fine. If I can couple this with a vector db, files and other details can be quickly searched up by the llms - mainly cause of grep or searches which does string/text search but miss due to semantics/context.
• Also need to figure out how to make vacuum(low earth orbit) at low prices - maybe under 5k.
• Battery setup for solar panel charge holding instead of sending it to the grid.

• Looks like I ended up making more frogs for my future self. Gotta love how I can F it up. Anyways car’s backlight need replacement. Need to find time for fixing this.
• Also that GPU comp is also pending. Need to sort out that part as soon as I can. Most of the things I want to complete are still there sadly. No clue on how or when I’ll even be able to start those. Maybe I should monitor myself for the time spent.

• At home for most part - not getting much time after work since it’s going a bit after that on consistency. Also cousins are also moving out/away - guess it’s time for me to start working on something I want - this has been the same talk for years, but now with less people around it’s finally hitting a bit hard? And I think I’m almost reaching the point where I can’t do much.
• Now I’m getting cold feet as I’m approaching the paste replacement on this laptop. Given the RAM prices if I mess up, it’s going to be an expensive fix for sure.
• Bathing in cold water is super annoying but it does give me enough sleepiness. So it evens out?
• Need to finalize on an LLM subscription - or at least get a non shitty local qwen working properly. 4060m would run it ig maybe at 3-5 tk/s? Deepseek and GLM is the only hope lol - maybe once GPT’s new model is released.
• Got new samsung s6 monitor having KVM - man I need to check pricing before getting stuff - time to the life on earth as a game and start making money lol. The interesting stuff starts opening after you make that ig. All the fun stuff, let it be nuclear at home, homelab, 3d printing etc all of this requires money - a lot of money.

• Did not get time for GPU Mode’s QR Decomposition - now trying the Eigen Decomposition - but it’s hard? At least I did not understand why eigen vectors were special when I had studied those in college lol, so yeah double the work - mostly for unerstanding how it doesn’t rotate + acting as roots for the matrix.
• Had 3 kittens at home - one got killed by car infront of me - dug up and buried. Suprised to see lack of emotions in me. I do wonder if I’m emotionally numb to protect myself lol. Anyways the other 2 kittens are no where to be found and that’s a bit sad? I mean, their sibling got killed nearby so ig it makes sense?
• The weed killing black sheets which I had suggested last year worked. But since we used random sheets it got effed by UV and rain - basically tropical fucks up most plastics. So now we got UV resistant sheets. Will see how they’ll last - more work though now. Why aren’t there some bots for weed plucking and drilling ground.
• Completed the databricks gen ai cert - voucher was delayed a bit. Anyways, kinda straight forward except for maybe 15-20 questions from databricks specifics - which is also easy if you checked the course work. Anyways, is there a point in getting certifications in the age of LLMs? I mean for architecting you’d be using plan mode anyways - and the agents would be spun up for each cloud platform (even multicloud solutions), so is that even useful. I guess it’s needed incase the LLMs are not that advanced or go inside the local minimum, anyways. Personally it feels like a waste, unless it’s free + you’re forced to do this from your company.
• Repasting laptop is still pending - I’m a bit worried I can mess it up and end up with bad thermals + broken laptop lol. Also the current prices does not spark joy/confidence to take apart a 8 year old gaming laptop. Tbh, I’m surprised it lasted this long - did have display and fan replaced, but still, it’s working on that 1060 gpu.
• Gold and silver is coming down - probably due to rate hikes which might come this year. All the semi’s do be printing money + capacity/production is low. Guess DDR5 or GPU production will be taking a hit for sometime. Best case scenario will be server cycle refresh which will be happening from the mid of next year - which should dump some extra stuff. Even then, hyperscalers will be buying those up to provide compute to run local models. For me though, I’m not even sure if the hardware will be experimented - since we do require hardware designed for software to test out new frameworks.

June 22

• GPU Mode competitions are interesting - only question is how long before I loose my interst. So far so good - but hitting math books is idk - tiring after being out of touch. LLMs do be helping here - but it can be simplified a whole lot. But yeah, LLM doesn’t know my current base to build it on top of.
• Also N is not stopping anytime soon. The neural pathways are hardwired - need to find escape routes or I’ll just end up relapsing like always.
• Since i haven’t touched the tools a bit, just cleaning up some weed ended up with body pain the kinda sore which you get after first day of gym lol. But yeah it’s a pretty good feeling, unlike something sprained or shit.

• Back at home again - and the old feeling of being lagging behind is back - the past do be staring right into your eyes. The promises or the dreams which you’ve delayed around. • The mouse is actually pretty good to use - but inside the VDI, the doesn’t function as intended. Screenshot and other things are not working, sometimes even backward and forward. I’m not sure if it’s the VDI’s security checks or something - not skilled enough to check that as of now.
• Yeah went as expected. Maybe I’m not meant to exist, more like why do I exist - even if I die the people close to me will hurt a bit - but they’ll recover | the world will continue - so what why am I still marching on with this life? • PROD went fine? I guess I never had failures or serious stuff like that so far - hopefully I don’t jinx myself. Service Credential which can be binded to any workspace is like a risk waiting to be exploited lol. Stored Procedure handling needs to be setup - currently it ain’t that good - also silently swallowing errors ain’t helping.
• Secret management for notebook based systems is annoying af - maybe I’ll check an .env file for databricks workspaces - but yeah - pasting it into variable is a no go, putting it in databricks secrets is 404 cause enterprise?, storing it in env? not sure, we don’t have secret manager access to fetch from there. Or even hcp vault for that matter. For local systems, .env works but how do you handle it in the case of agentic workflows. • Got that PROD Deployment and lot of work - sleep is not taking a hit - mostly on high level it’s sorted? And deadlines are a bit flexible since it’s a migration nobody asked for ig.
• Applied for the cert’s voucher - do plan on binging it - currently using udemy practice tests - I do think any of the available ones will be fine.
• VPS + Trading thing is pending - Also need to refresh my domain? God this is getting expensive.
• Also RAM pricing + Processor stuff is not helping at all. I think the 550 + R9 5900x + DDR4 is my best bet. Might wait for 1 more for enterprise level refresh - which should push a lot of RAM out. I’d prefer if I can get 3090 or even a 4090 - but yeah currently a dream lol.
• Virus based llms might be the only way to train on a global scale now - don’t think anything else is gonna cut it for current market. But then how do you handle the memory or lock outs?

• E-Ink caught my interests now - mainly cause it can change colours - maybe that colour changing hair thing would be possible given the energy requirements are cheap - so if you can have some sort of heat->electricity no - not a fucking steam machine again - just a heat->electricity panel on the scalp - you can technically it.

• Almost 1 week - guess it was a bit hectic? so spamming 2 espresso works - but I get extremely sleepy for the first 1 hour - then go focused? Charge trap for ssd and capacitor for ram was a fun read.

So when you add udev 99, the execution already happened and the tag will just sit there.
• KiCad, Blender, Photo editor? I’m not sure what to use for that + freecad i got a lot things to look into - too many things and too little time, but I’m an procrastinator aaaaa- throwing away the phone works but yeah.

• CCA-F was kinda fun? I mean like it gave me that adrenaline rush again - maybe after 1 year? But should’ve prepared or something - will probably fail - I got no clue using Claude nor have I used the multi-agent system. Stuff’s too pricey + no access from my company. Regarding the exam though, it’s not exactly the 6 scenarios mentioned in the site + practice exam only got info on 4 fixed scenarios. I guess rest is expected to be picked up from experience or courses. Questions were a bit descriptive + mcq had fun answers which are extremely similar- gotta reread the question to catch the key thing - sometimes it’ll be subtle like preferred to reduce time, but the question would be for fixing the failure. Also a lot of other options do be imposters - cutting it pretty close to the actual answer. Online proctored but didn’t happen trigger anything even though I got pings from team - should’ve killed teams and other background services. Overall though, I think folks will be binging the exam for LinkedIn in sometime. That said currently it’s only for Partner companies - so it is what it is.

• Forgot to write down yesterday. Was looking into jlpcb and jlcnc or similar stuff here. Looks like customs will be more than the actual pcb cost - gotta love this place lol. Local shops do it but the cost is almost 3-4x - customs route is better but the chance of it getting stuck or lost is high af.
• Expecting ram pricing to come down in another 7-8 months - at least for ddr5 - issue is that since it’ll be used for LLM work, the channels would be worn out - mostly timing issues - should be fine if I’m not driving it at the max speeds. ECC Ram modules help here - enterprises should be using this for part.

• So read a lot on rack servers + 3d printing + storage options for 50TB+ I don’t even work with 50TB lol - but yeah hardware is fun. The more I read the more i want that 3d printer.

• Need to look into holographs - at least how to make the light visible to the eyes without crutch.   • Holds the entire data after aggregation in python dictionary and then converts that into pandas df then to spark df.
  • How is this even working? I guess the aggregation SQLs written by Source Teams are saving this framework but god - increasing granularity is gonna be a nightmare.
• Need to figure out a proper schedule for office return + workout. Also spending a lot of time on planning things to buy instead of actually buying them- F my brain.

1. Make source and relay settle on same channel width (40/80)
